Members of IBEW Local #43’s apprentice class recently visited Oswego Hospital to deliver two wagons full of toys. The wagons, equipped with seatbelts, will be used to transport young patients before surgery.
Parents of Special Children, Inc., recently held its seventh annual Breakfast with Santa for individuals with special needs and their family members. The two-hour event was sponsored by the Fulton Elks #830 Lodge and featured a gourmet breakfast, arts and crafts, and a visit from Santa who had gifts for all!
Fulton Rotary Club President, Jerry Seguin and Rotarian, Bill Lynch recently presented students on Robyn Yorker’s Blue Team at the Oswego County BOCES Stepping Stones Day Program with the gift of personal dictionaries.
Students from the Oswego Middle School’s National Junior Honor Society program took time out of their vacation recently and helped celebrate the holidays with residents, staff, family and friends at Bishop’s Commons.
Membership dues and other funds raised by the Friends of the Library are used to support programs and services of Oswego Public Library, including: crafts and refreshments for the children’s room programs, children’s programs for the summer, a teen exercise/fitness program and a part-time instructor to teach computer workshops in the Library Learning Center.

Diane Gianetto was the winner of the United Way of Greater Oswego County’s drawing for a ladies diamond ring. Valued at $1,200, the diamond ring was donated by DuFore’s for Diamonds in Oswego.
Twenty-two Fairgrieve Elementary School students earned recognition Dec. 18 for their positive behavior in the library and computer lab. Certificates and pencils were presented to the award recipients during Morning Express, with librarian Barb Senecal commending the winners for their achievements.
Students and staff at Michael A. Maroun Elementary School knew there was something they could do to help the senior citizens in Oswego County this winter and they organized a building-wide ‘Blizzard Bag’ project.
