Residents at Bishop’s Commons have been “Exploring Art” with the help of SUNY Oswego Art Program students. Established last year, the SUNY/Senior “Exploring Art” program has grown in popularity among residents who have had the opportunity to either renew their interest in creative art, or simply try something new.
On November 20 at 7 p.m., Judy Levan, warning coordination meteorologist of the Buffalo office of the National Weather Service, will provide the members and guests of the Radio Amateur Civil Emergency Service (RACES) with a Skywarn training session on winter weather hazards. The program will be held at the Oswego County Building in Fulton.
The Oswego Public Library’s Library Learning Center will offer a Twitter For Business and Organizations workshop on November 21. This class is free and runs from 2 to 4 p.m.
Students in the Fulton City School District proved their marketing prowess as they took home top honors during the second Oswego County Academic Youth League competition of the year on Wednesday.
Attorney Lesley C. Germanow has joined the Nelson Law Firm, it was announced by Allison J. Nelson, owner. Germanow will be responsible for representing clients in the areas of Municipal Law, Real Estate, Business and Corporate Law, Estate, Trusts, and Vehicle and Traffic matters.
“What would happen if someone came into your school and told you that you had to move to another school and you would not be allowed to come back here ever again?” was the question posed to fifth graders at Lura Sharp Elementary when members of the Merry-Go-Round Playhouse visited the school recently.
I called one of the local cat rescue organizations to inquire about adopting a cat for my kids for the holidays and was told they don’t allow adoptions as gifts. They also will not approve any adoption to take place for the two weeks before Christmas.
On November 17, starting at 2 p.m., First United Church of Fulton will show another enjoyable movie well suited to older adults. There is no charge. Popcorn and soda are provided, as well.
This Friday the Sunshine Center in Fulton will begin ZumbaDance on Fridays at 10 a.m. This Friday, Jessica Shoults will be the instructor.
