Ritchie Honors 29 CNY, NNY Veterans at Fort Drum Ceremony

State Senator Patty Ritchie honored 29 veterans from across Central and Northern New York at a special ceremony held Friday at Fort Drum’s USO. The veterans were nominated for induction into the New York State Senate “Veterans Hall of Fame” by family, friends, co-workers and comrades-in-arms for their military service to our nation, and their continuing work and involvement in causes that benefit and improve our local communities.

Oswego County Historical Society To Host Lecture on the Oswego Port Authority

The Oswego County Historical Society will hosts its second lecture of the 2013 series on May 19. Dr. Terrance Hammill, chairman of the Port of Oswego Authority will present a program entitled "History of Oswego's Port Authority." Guest lecturer Dr. Terrence Hammill will present a program entitled “The History of Oswego’s Port Authority.” A professor emeritus of SUNY Oswego and twice mayor of the city of Oswego, Dr. Hammill is the currently the chairman of the board of the Port of Oswego Authority.
