The Oswego Town Historical Society  has invited the Sterling Historical Society to join them a their October 17 meeting. The story of the Dr. Mary Walker statue will be told and there will be discussions as to how both societies can work together as they definitely complement each other.

The Minetto United Methodist Church will host a free dinner on October 28. Serving will be from 4:30 to 6:30 p.m. The menu will be chicken and biscuits, mashed potatoes, vegetable and dessert.

A ceramics and-mixed media installation featuring the work of SUNY Oswego master’s degree candidate Carrie Gregg will open with a free public reception from 2 to 4 p.m. Oct. 27, at Oswego State Downtown.

The H. Lee White Marine Museum, located on the West First Street Pier in Oswego’s Historic Maritime District is open Monday – Sunday, 1-5 p.m. The museum’s main building features 12 exhibit rooms, highlighting more than 400 years of maritime history.

Come on out to Screamwood Forest in Pennellville! Walk the trail through theatrical scenes from favorite Halloween performances or enjoy the games, food, sit-in big-screen movies or bonfire. It’s a good time for Halloween adventurers of any age.

The donation from the car club will assist in the continuation of services to local families such as the Cavalier family, whose son, Jordan, has been receiving services for seven years.

The caring and sharing breast cancer support group has relocated its meetings to the conference room of the Fulton Medical Center. The group, led by Liz Schremp, meets the third Tuesday of the month from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m.

Holly Bradshaw, representing the Fulton Youth Hockey organization, stopped by the Fulton Rotary Club recently to pick up a donation check to help support the Fulton Youth Hockey winter program

Julie Bloom, who holds a doctorate of physical therapy, will oversee the rehabilitation department at Oswego Health’s recently opened Central Square Medical Center.
