While the camping trips, cookouts and beach days are all fun, it’s important that we know how to protect ourselves from the potential dangers that can be found in the great outdoors. One of those dangers is rabies.

The Fulton Medical Center’s mammography service has been awarded a three-year term of accreditation in mammography following a recent review by the American College of Radiology. Mammography is a specific type of imaging test that uses a low-dose x-ray system to examine breasts.

The following local residents were among 1,086 students from Ithaca College who received degrees during the College’s commencement ceremony held in May 2012.

APW Middle School Principal James Heffron commented on how the 8th graders had changed saying, “Not only have they grown several inches, they have taken up an instrument, learned a foreign language, participated in modified and Junior Varsity sports, performed in drama productions and broadened their horizons in academics and the arts.”

During his four years in high school, Drake earned the rank of scholar-athlete, and also served as team co-captain and five year Most Valuable Player on the Varsity Swimming and Diving Team.

State Police in Pulaski investigated a personal injury accident that occurred around 11:30 a.m. on June 25 at the Oswego County Transfer Station parking lot in the town of Richland.

The students were so impressed with the bravery and heroism of O’Grady, they were moved to write him and sent pictures they had drawn to illustrate their favorite parts in the book.

The Fulton G. Ray Bodley Class of 1977 will be holding its 35th Class reunion on Aug. 3 and 4. We are still looking for contact information and/or mailing addresses for several classmates.

Fulton Rotarian Nancy Kush Ellis introduced Dr. Terrence Hammill at a recent Rotary Club luncheon. Dr. Hammill talked about our DNA and how it verifies our ancestry.
