On February 7, John Strupler, owner of Fulton Surfine, visited Mr. Joseph McNamara’s sixth grade class at the Granby Elementary School. Mr. Struppler talked with the class on what he looks for when he hires new employees.
The oldest documented resident ever to live in Oswego Town was Nathaniel Laird and he lived to 111. Nathaniel was an active centurian and as stories go at 105 he walked to Oswego and back to buy seed from his home now on Demass Road in Southwest Oswego.
This year, the girls have been working on the Girl Scout Journey – It’s Your Story. Our celebration and displays tie in with the theme of role models and stereotypes.
The program includes up to two years education and training, campus housing, meals and many other services. There is no cost to eligible students. Both high school graduates and non-graduates may apply.
