Families Are Invited to Escape Cabin Fever at a ‘Treasure Island Luau’ Feb. 28
Is it just too cold for you in the winter? Are you sick of the snowy weather by late February? The Oswego City?County Youth Bureau and Oswego Harborfest invite the community to a Treasure Island Luau from 2 to 4 p.m. Sunday, Feb. 28 at the Elk’s Lodge in Oswego. All children are welcome to attend. Activities will be geared for children up to age 10.

Empower Federal Credit Union’s Fulton West branch has a brand new look and is celebrating with an open house. The public is invited to stop by Empower’s branch at 722 West Broadway, Fulton, the week of December 14, Monday-Thursday, 9 a.m.-5 p.m., and 9 a.m.-5:30 p.m., Friday. Visitors will enjoy refreshments and giveaways throughout the week, while taking in the new interior.

Oswego Health’s lunchtime diabetes support group will expand upon its usual meeting topic to discuss Medicare Part D insurance options.

Item Drive for Troops a Success: Pulaski VFW and Ladies Auxiliary Send Stockings Full of Gifts to Iraq, Afghanistan and Africa
Assemblyman Will Barclay (R,C,Iâ€â€Pulaski) today thanked the community for donating to the annual item drive for troops held by the Pulaski Veterans of Foreign Wars and Ladies Auxiliary. The organizations ensure that several hundred deployed military and their families receive Christmas presents, stockings and decorated Christmas trees in time for the holidays. For the past three years, Assemblyman Barclay’s office has assisted in the drive.

Arms Collectors Show At Veterans Day’ Event
Continental Arms collectors Association had its annual military exhibit at the Oswego Elk’s Lodge Veterans’ Day Dinner on November 13. The exhibit was in remembrance of Don Sweeney a veteran of the United States Navy and member of CACA’s Revolutionary War Interpretive Unit.

Constellation Energy Nuclear Group Employees Make The Yuletide Season Bright For St. Luke Residents
Constellation employees, through their annual “Giving Tree†Program collect and donates Christmas presents to St. Luke residents. Employees selected a resident Christmas present wish from trees located throughout their facility, and then took their time and energy to set about fulfilling that wish.
