Sound of the Holidays fill the air as FCT presents “Christmas Something . . .” Remember the Good-Old Days when old-fashioned Christmas specials with host like Bob Hope, Bing Crosby, and Andy Williams would fill the airwaves and warm our hearts at Christmas time. Fulton Community Theatre is looking to help bring back those memories with their December offering “Christmas Something.”
For more than 15 years, the Fulton McDonalds restaurant has completely transformed into a themed holiday masterpiece for the month of December as part of an annual holiday decorating competition. This year, the restaurant located at 701 S. Fourth St. became a “cozy Christmas cabin,” a theme thought of and brought to life entirely by restaurant staff.

The Parade of Trees at the John Wells Pratt House Museum is a fun and festive welcoming for the holiday season in Fulton each year. For roughly 35 years, The Parade of Trees has brought community residents, businesses, and organizations together to celebrate the holidays with a decorating contest among several colorful, creative displays of Christmas trees.
On Friday (December 9), at approximately 11 a.m., State Police stopped a vehicle on Van Rennselaer Street in the city of Syracuse for a traffic violation. investigation revealed additional heroin and hypodermic needles hidden inside the vehicle.
It was determined that the heroin and hypodermic needles located all belonged to the front seat passenger, Joshua Baez-Arnold of 42 Senior Ave., Fulton.
The Onondaga County Sheriff Office reports that Sheriff’s Detectives have charged a Fulton man in connection with the December 3 robbery of the NBT Bank in North Syracuse. A thorough investigation along with surveillance video and witness interviews, led to the arrest of James C. Caskey, 39, of Fulton.
The city of Fulton was one of many Oswego County municipalities that benefited from New York State Regional Economic Development Council grant money awarded Dec 8. In the city of Fulton, $61,500 was awarded for a feasibility study to determine the cost of developing eight recreational trails throughout the city of Fulton as envisioned by the volunteer group, Fulton Footpaths. However, the feasibility study and eventual construction of the trials are largely dependent on the approval of an updated Local Waterfront Revitalization Program (LWRP) which a committee of city officials and volunteers have readily been working on.

The Fulton Common Council unanimously approved the proposed 2017 city budget after brief input during a public hearing held on Tuesday, December 6.
