On August 8, State Police in Hastings arrested Richard S. Buffham, 48, of West Monroe, for (1) count of “Course of Sexual Conduct against a Child 1st degree,” a class “B” felony. Buffham was charged following a joint investigation with the Department of Homeland Security Investigations.

Fulton Man Charged With Grand Larceny of Motor Vehicle and DWI-Drugs

On July 28, an officer of the Fulton Police observed a stolen blue 2005 Dodge Durango in the 400 block of Hannibal Street, which was reported stolen. The officer attempted to conduct a vehicle and traffic stop, however the operator of the stolen vehicle refused to stop for the officer, according to the police report.

The long term grocer in Hannibal, Jim Mirabito of the Village Market IGA has recently confirmed the sale of the store to Tops Friendly Markets. After 50 years of service as Hannibal’s only withstanding full-scale grocery store, the Village Market located at 409 Fulton Street will close officially at 3 p.m. on August 7. A recent press release from Tops officials have confirmed that the store will re-open as a chain of Tops Friendly Markets on August 11.

Fulton Woman Charged With Assault, Endangering the Welfare Of A Child

On July 22, at 6:51 p.m., State Police responded to a residence on County Route 8 in the town of Granby for a report of a domestic dispute. Investigation at the scene revealed that Alexzandra L. The Hannibal Village Market IGA has been Hannibal’s only withstanding full-scale grocery store for the past 50 years and one of few remaining family owned stores locally. Fulton Man Facing Drug Possession Charges After Traffic Stop in Lysander

At 10:55 a.m. today (July 27), State Police stopped a vehicle on State Route 48 at Lamson Road, for a traffic violation. Investigation at the scene revealed the driver and sole occupant, Cody Dygert, from Fulton, was allegedly operating with a suspended permit, and was also in possession of heroin.
