The Oswego County Health Department announced today (June 26) that a bat captured in the town of Granby has tested positive for rabies. Bats are a common carrier of rabies, said Oswego County Public Health Director Jiancheng Huang.

The Common Council held a special meeting Thursday to discuss a multitude of topics. First on the agenda, the council voted on an offer for a property the city had previously acquired through tax foreclosure. Other properties on the agenda included part of the former Nestles site.

Well, it is simply that: a little, free library. Presented at Bullhead Point, a small, free standing library now exists for community members to take a book and return a book for free.
