Dredging Is Imminent; A Look Back At Lake Neatahwanta

As the city of Fulton and town of Granby await permits that will allow dredging of the lake, which are expected to be delivered any day, this is the first of a multi-part feature article highlighting some of the news reports and studies published in the past few decades for Fulton’s little lake by the big lake, Lake Neatahwanta. – Ed.

A whole generation ago the city of Fulton was forced to close Stevenson Beach and North Bay Beach on Lake Neatahwanta during the middle of a summer dry spell and heat wave because the lake’s water could make people sick.

18-Year Fulton Police Veteran Accused of Assault, Falsifying Records

UPDATE: The city of Fulton Police Department has charged an 18-year police veteran with assault and records falsification after receiving a complaint from a man alleging he was punched in the head while handcuffed and in police custody. In his statement the man allegedly said, “‘Are you serious? Are you going to beat my a** with handcuffs behind my back?’ Sgt. Arigo then punched me with his left fist and split open my temple.”

FRB to Fulton: $400,000 Grant With Strings Attached

After six months of research the city of Fulton received its review report from the state’s financial restructuring board on Monday (June 30) which includes several recommendations and an offering of $400,000 in grant money if certain conditions are met.
“There’s still more they want us to do,” Mayor Ron Woodward said.
