The newly formed committee, comprised of nearly 30 people from all walks of life, outlined their goals and hopes for the district as it moves forward into the future. Spending more than two hours brainstorming and bouncing ideas off one another, the meeting was the first of several that will be held throughout the year to help develop a strategic plan to guide the district over the next five years.

October is Domestic Violence Awareness Month. The goal of Domestic Violence Awareness Month is to raise public awareness of the epidemic of domestic violence in our country and to educate individuals on the impact and prevention of domestic violence in our communities.

On October 10, parents, students and community members in the Fulton City School District are invited to participate in the first in a series of discussions focused on improving outcomes for all students. Discussion topic: What does it Really Mean to be College and Career Ready?
