Friends of Great Bear has scheduled an invitational meeting for people interested in helping at Great Bear Springs Recreational Area. Great Bear Springs is a non-motorized, share the trails recreational area, encompassing over 400 acres, with several miles of marked trails, located adjacent to Route 57 in the town of Volney. The meeting will be held at the Fulton Y on April 17 at 7 p.m., room D.

The Fulton School Board adopted the 2013-14 budget Tuesday night. It will be voted on by the public next month. The budget was not adopted unanimously. The vote was 4 yes, 2 no, and 1 abstention. The board members who voted against the budget were concerned about the tax levy increase.

The Fulton Water Department Flushing Program will begin April 15. Flushing will begin in the morning and continue until sunset. Flushing will start in the southeast quadrant and proceed in a northerly and westerly direction. This program should be completed no later than May 3.

The spirit of Spring Cleaning was all around the Fulton War Memorial this weekend. The city of Fulton and Fulton Community Development Agency hosted the 2013 Fulton Area Home Show. The event was at capacity with 40 vendor booths set up and an expected attendance of around 500 patrons.
