Senator Patty Ritchie hosted a meeting with the Oswego, Jefferson and St. Lawrence county sheriffs, along with the Senate’s top expert on corrections and prison issues, to discuss the problem of state parole violators who are crowding county jails and costing local taxpayers millions of dollars in unreimbursed expenses.
State Police in Lysander are investigating a fatal two-car crash that occurred at 12:30 a.m. today (Oct. 15) on Interstate 690 in the Town of Geddes, Onondaga County. A Fulton man was involved and is in serious condition at a Syracuse hospital, according to police.
