Fire did severe damage to a home on Fulton’s west side Saturday afternoon.
The fire, in the 350 block of W. Second St., required a rare call for the city to ask for help from volunteer departments, according to Acting Fire Chief Paul Foster.

Last week, some very special young guests arrived in Fulton. A group of youngsters, ages 6-18, will be spending a few weeks enjoying the summer weather of CNY thanks to the Fresh Air Fund. The Oswego County Sheriff’s Department alleges that Justin R. Crowe, 31, of 1175 County Route 11, West Monroe, was spotted at Central City Auto Parts in West Monroe after the business had closed on Saturday.
Police allege he was seen stealing auto parts.
