It’s Yearbook photo time — Wednesday is photo day. Also, Fulton’s wrestlers win another tournament, the volleyball squad posts a win, and the blood drive’s coming up soon.
Because of the Christmas holiday, city of Fulton garbage pickup schedules have changed. It’s likely your day to have your garbage picked up will be different this week.
If you normally have your garbage picked up on Tuesday, your garbage will be picked up today instead.
If you normally have your garbage picked up on Wednesday or Thursday, your garbage will be picked up on Tuesday this week.
And if you normally have your garbage picked up on Friday, your garbage will be picked up on Wednesday this week.
There is one change for next week, too: Those who have Friday garbage pickup will have their garbage picked up on Thursday of next week.
Fulton’s 2011 city budget will be discussed and is likely to be enacted at Tuesday night’s meeting of the Fulton Common Council.
Mayor Ron Woodward has said he will deliver a budget with no tax increase for 2011.

Fulton’s four year old advisory program is helping connect students to school and convincing some of them to stay, district officials and teachers say.
The advisory program is part of the district’s effort to increase scores on state exams and reduce its dropout rate. “We saw that students (who dropped out) lacked connections to the school,” said Superintendent Bill Lynch.
