Fly-In For Ultralights, Other Aircraft, Begins Today in Palermo

Interlaken's Dave Kotek in his Airborne Trike.The Gullivers will be hosting their 12th annual fly-in, that now includes Light Sports Aircraft, small general aviation planes, as well as the ultralight class of aircraft. Pilots from all over New York State, as well as from other places in the United States and Canada, gather together to show their airplanes and to have a chance to meet with the other pilots they have met from previous fly-ins.

Fulton City Workers Take Expert Advice To Make Government Smaller — Eat Less, Exercise More

Ken Meyers, Jr. is honored with the certificate that shows he lost  the most weight -- nearly a quarter of his body weight -- along with a  check for $552.50.Lots of city governments want to get smaller. Fulton city government workers did it. No, they didn’t cut jobs or eliminate departments. Instead, they cut fat and eliminated pounds. Lots of pounds. City employees gathered Monday night to celebrate weeks of effort towards losing weight.

Downtown Fulton Parking Dispute Returns: ‘Not Enough Parking’, Says One; ‘Laziness Issue’, Says Another

Two hour parkingFulton city lawmakers have a dispute to mediate among downtown Fulton businesses over parking.  The owner of the Tavern on the Lock restaurant is asking for the second time for the city to end all day parking in the city parking lot adjacent to his restaurant. About half of the spaces in that lot, Lot 5, are all-day spaces and the other half are two hour spaces.
