Volney Home Destroyed By Fire
There’s no word yet on what caused a house fire in Volney Wednesday.
The home at 1508 County Route 57 was destroyed by fire late in the afternoon. The one-family home is owned by Sandra Audas, according to the county’s online property tax database.
No injuries were reported. An investigation into the cause of the fire is underway.

Scene Around Town: Jreck Subs Hasn’t Closed, It Just Moved
Now it’s gone. The sudden departure appears to have some folks wondering where Jreck went. They’ve even taken their question to the arbiter of all things retail, Post-Standard retail columnist Bob Neidt, who didn’t know either.
Here’s your answer: Jreck moved this week in the long-closed Cam’s NY Pizzeria building next to City Hall and Advance Auto Parts. The new owners tell our Fred Reed (who supplied the cell camera photo below) that they’ll be reopening “in a week or so”. Here’s their new home:

Fulton Home’s Been Fixed Up, Now City Is Ready To Sell It
Another city of Fulton home is making a comeback.
A home at 151 W. 4th St. S. is the latest to be seized by the city for non-payment of taxes, rehabilitated, and offered for sale by the Fulton Community Development Agency.
“They have a buyer now,” said Mayor Ron Woodward Tuesday night
More Charges Against Woman In High Speed Chase
The passenger in last week’s high speed chase from Fulton to Red Creek has now been charged with stealing from Oswego’s Wal-Mart before hitting the Wal-Mart in Granby.

The drawbridge in Phoenix became stuck in the raised position Sunday. Workers are raising and lowering the bridge by hand while they fix the problem.
