The Oswego DMV office will be closed to the public on Wednesday, April 24, and will re-open at 9 a.m. Thursday, April 25. The Oswego DMV office will continue to be closed to the public on Wednesdays of each week until further notice, while improvements are made to the facility.

The Oswego County Health Department reported today (April 19) that two raccoons recently tested positive for rabies. One was in the town of Hannibal and the other in the town of Williamstown. There was no known contact between either raccoon and humans or pets.

The Port City has many fire hydrants. Some of them are the same; many aren’t the same. And there are some that are almost the same – but not quite. At Monday night’s Administrative Services Committee meeting, Tom Kells, Commissioner of Public Works, recommended standardizing the purchase of all fire hydrants within the city through the manufacturer Kennedy Valve.
