Opponents say the position isn’t needed; the current system works fine. However, proponents point out that since the city attorney represents several other entities, conflicts are a real possibility.

John Katko announced that he has reintroduced legislation that he authored and passed through the House during his first term in office, the Fort Ontario Study Act. U.S. Reps.
