SUNY Oswego Homecoming Celebration Set Nov. 4-5

SUNY Oswego reinstituted a Homecoming celebration in 2015, and decided it was so successful that the 2016 celebration has been expanded to two days. Homecoming 2016 will take place Nov. 4 and 5 at various locations around campus and the city of Oswego. In 2015, hundreds of students, alumni and friends of the Oswego college community participated in Homecoming events.

Minetto Man Charged with Soliciting Sexually Explicit Photos From Minors – Update

UPDATE: The investigation is on-going and anyone with information can contact the Computer Crime Unit or State Police in Fulton at (315) 598-2112.
State Police charged Justin J. Montana, 31 of Minetto, with Use of a Child in a Sexual Performance, Disseminating Indecent Material to Minors today (Oct. 25). Troopers charged Montana with two counts of Use of a Child in a Sexual Performance, a class C felony, and one count of Disseminating Indecent Material to a Minor 1st degree, a class D felony, following an investigation.

Speakers: Crackdown On Landlords Is Hurting Families

The city’s recent efforts to crack down on landlords whose properties are in need of repair due to severe code violations, or are delinquent in their taxes or water bills came under fire Monday night. At the council’s public session, two speakers pointed out while the initiative was well-intentioned, it was having unwanted repercussions.
