Recently the Oswego jayvee girls basketball team capped off a fundraiser for Makayla Walker, a sixth-grade student at Oswego’s Fitzhugh Park Elementary School. Money raised will go toward medical expenses for Makayla, who is battling cancer.

Ron Kaplewicz and Mike Myers are re-elected president and vice president, respectively, of the council. However, a resolution containing a salary increase for the positions was tabled.

On January 1, the Oswego City Police Department arrested Ronald J. Bisnett, 42, of 5432 State Route 104, Oswego. At approximately 1:11a.m. at East Seneca and Ninth streets Bisnett was observed by police allegedly failing to stop for several stop signs.
