Port City Looks To Halt Discharge Of Contaminated Groundwater

The Port City is taking action to address the issue of contaminated groundwater being discharged from the Excess Flow Management Facility on West First Street. At Monday night’s Administrative Services Committee meeting, Tony Leotta, city engineer, requested authorization for a change order to the general contractor regarding the Consent Decree Project, regarding the discharge.

State Police Charge 4 Former Members of the Volney Volunteer Fire Department with Larceny

The 4 subjects previously resigned from the fire department in February of this year after an internal investigation determined there was “inappropriate spending” involving these subjects.  This internal investigation was turned over to the State Police Bureau of Investigation in Fulton which resulted in the arrests.

More Charges Possible As Police Await Lab Results

It would be naive to believe that all use, sale and distribution of synthetic drugs is to be contributed to commercial businesses.
