The preliminary data indicates the unit experienced a Turbine trip, but the exact

Oswego County Office For The Aging Warns of Shortfall in Senior Meals Program
Oswego County’s Senior Nutrition Program serves up to 600 seniors a day across the county. However, voluntary contributions to the program are down this year and there is concern that the agency may have to establish a waiting list or make other adjustments if contributions don’t pick up.

Emergency Siren Sounds Inadvertently
One of the emergency notification sirens surrounding the nuclear power plants in Scriba inadvertently sounded at about 5:40 p.m. today, July 13, due to a malfunction. There is NO emergency at the three nuclear power plants in Oswego County.
Cause Of NMP 2 Shutdown Probed
In accordance with procedures, operators at Nine Mile Point Unit 2 took prompt and appropriate action Thursday to commence a safe, controlled shutdown of the unit. Unit 2 remains in a safe condition and the event did not pose a risk to the public.
Funding To Relieve Jail Over-Crowding Sparks Debate
The Oswego County Legislature today (July 12) approved transferring funds to cover the cost of boarding OCJ inmates in other county facilities. The resolution to transfer an additional $200,000 prompted a lengthy debate about how to correct the problem without continually having to spend more money on it. At some point, one legislator said, the county is going to have to tell the state: enough is enough.
Driver Charged Following Chase From Volney Into Fulton
The charges stem from a police pursuit that began at the railroad crossing on State Route 481, north of VanBuren Drive in the town of Volney and went south on 481 into the city of Fulton where the vehicle the suspect was driving turned east onto VanBuren Street then made a sharp turn north onto North Sixth Street where he finally parked the vehicle.
