Proposed Tax Agreement Available Through School District
A public hearing regarding the proposed tax agreement between Nine Mile Nuclear facilities and the Oswego City School District will be conducted on Dec. 13 at 6 p.m. at the Education Center Board Room at 120 E. First Street. The tax agreement that will be considered is available on the Oswego City School District web page (www.oswego.org).
New E-Commerce Incubator, Temporary Outreach Office To Benefit Displaced Workers
There will be an SBDC adviser at the facility. But, the focus is on helping displaced workers and others analyze their skills, hobbies, and interests to determine if something can be commercialized and then help them set up an online business. An open house is planned for Dec. 15.
Oswego Fire Department’s OT Budget Dwindles After Rash Of Emergency Calls
The recent river rescue attempt and fires as well as other incidents have caused the department to use more of its OT funds than expected. To ensure a safe number of firefighters are on shift for the remainder of the year, it will cost $50,000, according to the chief.
