Two-Car Accident Injures Pedestrian And Child

At about 9:09 a.m. today (Nov. 29), Oswego City Police responded to a report of a two-car motor vehicle accident at the intersection of West Fifth and West Albany streets. As a result of the impact between the two vehicles, one was pushed up onto the sidewalk and struck a 25-year-old woman and her young son.

Rescue Personnel Searching For Person In The Oswego River

Oswego Fire Chief Jeff McCrobie, left, discusses the situation with Oswego PD Capt. David Lizotte.At approximately 3:02 p.m. Monday, the Oswego City Police and Fire departments responded to a report of a male having jumped from the Utica Street bridge into Oswego River. Upon arrival responding officers observed the victim floating down river. Police have not yet been able to obtain positive identification of the victim.Anyone with any information is asked to call police at 315-342-8120.

Neighborhood Watch Meeting Focuses On Nuisance Abatement, Protection

The recent Oswego Community Neighborhood Watch Program meeting provided an update on the city’s nuisance abatement ordinance. Nearly two dozen people attended the informational session at Oswego Library.According to coordinator Betty Gray, the more people know about the ordinance, the more they will be able to help police enforce it.
