Second Relaxation, Reflection and Writing Workshop Planned

That’s write. They’re doing it again. A cluster of writers has scheduled a workshop at Camp Hollis on the Lake Ontario’s shore in Oswego Town for June 11, from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. The event will be hosted and facilitated by Mary Slimmer, Jim Farfaglia and June MacArthur, the guest writer. The trio presented a well-received writers’ workshop at the camp last fall which prompted them to conduct another this spring.

Eastside Oswego Man Facing Felony Drug Charge

At approximately noon on May 9, investigators with the Oswego City Police Department’s Criminal Investigations Division conducted an investigation into illegal activity at 42 E. Oneida St. During the course of the investigation, the residence was searched resulting in the discovery of approximately four pounds of marijuana.

Voters Tap Incumbents, Myer For Oswego School Board

school vote teaserVoters in the Oswego City School District returned two incumbents to the board of education and picked a new member.  The voters also approved the $74,744,748 budget for the 2011 – 2012 school year. They also OK’d Proposition No. 2 – the purchase of 10 new school buses. Sam Tripp, John Dunsmoor and Bill Myer won the three open seats.
