Bion Announces Kreider Farms Permit Approved
Bion’s application for a Demonstration Permit for its Kreider Farms project Phase 1 has been approved. The company recommends that it be a precondition for the Oswego County project.
The Oswego City Police Department wishes to alert motorists to a traffic change planned for tomorrow (Aug. 13). Due to the planned demolition of the building located at 133 W. Fifth St., the Traffic Section of the Oswego Police Department will be closing West Fifth Street from West Oneida Street to West Bridge Street for all vehicular traffic.
The fire department was notified in a letter dated June 29, that they were found to be in violations of section 3031 of the Public Health Law and a regulation addressing documentation requirements for advanced life support systems. A plan of correction was to be submitted by no later than July 22, and in fact was submitted and accepted by that date.
The Water Department, DPW and City Engineer were authorized to move forward with cleaning and lining of the necessary Hillside Avenue water mains with an approved coating system. The cost of the project is not to exceed $35,000. Several residents there have water, they say, unfit to use.
TRAFFIC ALERT: Beginning today (Aug. 9), crews will be making the change over, opening the north side of the Utica Street Bridge and closing the south side of the bridge. This change will most likely take all day to complete. As has been the case, the bridge will remain open during the project with one lane available for traffic in each direction.
