On Thursday (Oct. 28), members of the Oswego County Sheriff’s Office arrested Shane A. Kent, 25, of 6 Varick St., Apt. A,, Oswego, for his alleged participation in the following burglaries that took place in Oswego County during July, 2010.
Carl Paladino brought his campaign to the Port City on Saturday afternoon. He arrived at the Press Box shortly before 3 p.m. He was greeted by more than five dozen supporters and patrons already pumped up from watching Syracuse University pummel Cincinnati on the football field.

The gubernatorial candidate visited the Port City Thursday to rally the voters to get to the polls on Tuesday. “Tuesday comes down to you. You know who’s going to start change? The person in the mirror is going to start change; it starts with you,” he said.
State and federal officials unsealed indictments in Rochester Wednesday. Among the 29 people charged with being part of a drug ring was a man from Oswego.

The Common Council voted 5 to 2 Wednesday afternoon to move ahead with plans to acquire the International Marina from the Port of Oswego Authority. The price tag is $2.1 million.

Officials tell us he will hold an event at Bridie Manor in Oswego at 2:30 p.m.
Polls indicate Cuomo holds a substantial lead on Republican Carl Paladino.
It will be his first visit to Oswego of the campaign.
A few accusations, and some other things, were thrown around the table at Tuesday’s school board meeting. The board voted 2-4 (board member John Dunsmoor was absent for the vote but arrived at the meeting later on) on a resolution to seek the removal of sitting board member Fran Hoefer. Jim Tschudy and Tom DeCastro cast the lone yes votes. One board member noted that Hoefer wasn’t worth the cost it would take to remove him.
