Josephine Katelyn France  was born in Oswego Hospital at 4:42 a.m. Jan. 1, 2010. She weighed 7 pounds, 10 ounces and was 20.5 inches long. She is the daughter of Rita Powers and Brandon France, of Oswego.

Oswego Native Shares “A Mom’s Story”

Oswego native Lisa Manro Dennis jotted down a little tale about her son and his horse never dreaming she would one day share the story with the world. “One Mare that Saved a Life” is now part of an anthology to aid and inspire mare owners and horse lovers everywhere.

Pulaski Fire Victim Identified

A 68-year-old man, who had been  residing at the motel for about a week, was pronounced dead at the scene. According to investigators, the fire started in the victim’s room, near a portable electric heater.

In August, Jury Convicts Man In Infant’s Death

Jay John Barboni was found guilty of murder in connection with the death of 15-month-old Nicholas Taylor. Also in early August, Rosemary Nesbitt passed away peacefully with her family by her side.

Fire Hits Pulaski Motel

UPDATE: Fire overnight did damage to the Fish On! motel in downtown Pulaski.

One person is said to have died.

The fire was reported at about 4:00 a.m., officials said.  It took more than an hour to bring it under control.

Route 11 through the village is shut down because of the fire.
