When life gives you snow – create some snow art! Earlier this week scores of disgruntled residents in the area bemoaned the heavy wet snow and lack of things to do. Set to hit stage for the public next week on March 3, 4, and 5, the Quirk’s Players have been tirelessly working to perfect their performance and be stage ready. All their hard work was shown through their small preview for the members of the Board of Education and those in attendance at the meeting, but the Quirk’s Players had another surprise for Superintendent Bill Lynch.

New emergency notification sirens installed by Exelon Generation and Entergy Nuclear have gone into service following approval by the Federal Emergency Management Agency, Dale Currier, director of the Oswego County Emergency Management Office, said today (Feb. 24). Fulton School Board Approves 2016 Capital Project Bid

The Fulton School District Board of Education has accepted and approved the contractor bid for the 2016 capital project after a presentation at Tuesday’s (Feb 23) regular board meeting. The 2016 capital project is an extension of the 2012 and 2014 capital projects and will be funded using leftover money from those two prior referendums. Entergy Responds to PSC Offer

“We have not received a definitive proposal from the state of New York since our settlement talks ended in late 2015. What we’ve read in the NYPSC’s press release today doesn’t provide us with any more certainty than we had in late 2015,” said Mike Twomey, vice president of external affairs for Entergy EWC. Tuesday’s press release by the New York PSC will not change Entergy’s decision to close the FitzPatrick plant, he added.
