Oswego Police Continue Search For Missing Oswego Man

Thursday (November 19), marks the 39th anniversary of the reported disappearance of Oswego resident Dean Heagerty.
Dean was 19 years old at the time he was reported missing.
He was 6’1” tall with blue eyes and shoulder length blond hair. He was believed to be hitchhiking shortly before being reported missing to authorities.

Traffic Stop Results In 2 Drug Arrests

On Tuesday November 17, at approximately 10:25 p.m., investigators with the Oswego County Drug Task Force executed a drug related search warrant on a 1996 Audi as it was being operated in the area of South Fourth and Pratt streets. Steel Beam From World Trade Center Bound For Oswego

This privilege of owning one of the last steel beams of the World Trade Center will belong to the John D. Murray Firefighters Museum, which intends to design and construct a small park forever memorializing the victims of the world’s worst terror attack in New York City on September 11, 2001.

Oswego Aims To Complete Work On Visitor Center

At its meeting Monday night, the Administrative Services Committee recommended earmarking funds now to complete a granted project begun years ago. The project was started back in 2006, Justin Rudgick, community development director, told the committee. The facility will help attract more visitors to the Port City and generate increased revenue, councilors said.
