State Senator Patty Ritchie is marking Domestic Violence Awareness Month by announcing she has delivered $116,000 in special funding to help support the efforts of local organizations seeking to stop the spread of violence, rape and sexual assault throughout Central and Northern New York.
UPDATED: Dr. Dilip K. Roy, former Fulton doctor at his family owned practice FastCare Family Medical plead not guilty Tuesday to his indictment charges. He was previously indicted on two counts of rape in the third degree, according to Assistant District Attorney, Allison O’Neill. Dr. Roy is now facing new charges as well after a second arrest today in relation to a different occurrence.

Amy Tresidder, the Democratic candidate for mayor of Oswego, and Billy Barlow, the Republican candidate, will square off in a debate Wednesday evening. The event will be held at the OHS theater at 6 p.m.

The New York State Department of Transportation announced that an open house public information meeting will be held regarding a project to rehabilitate Route 104 in the town of Oswego, Oswego County. The open house will take place from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. on October 14 in the Oswego Town Hall, located at 2320 County Route 7.

Members of the NYC Marine Unit are delivering their 68-foot fireboat, the William M. Feehan, to NYFD marine operations port at the Brooklyn Navy Yard. The boat is constructed from steel recovered from the Twin Trade Towers.
