TIggy is a very affectionate and personable fella who likes to make the occasional foray outside. But he’ll be just as happy inside with you, curled up in a snuggle and purring away. He’s used to dogs and kids and he loves to play. No cat toys required, just you and your attention.
The New York State Police in Fulton are investigating an Armed Robbery that occurred on Thursday (July 30) at approximately 10:44 p.m. at the Kwik Fill located at 7559 State Route 104 in the town of Oswego. There are three suspects involved, all are white males, wearing black clothing and black head/face coverings, troopers said.
The Oswego County Health Department today (July 31) announced that the State Department of Health has approved its plan of closing the Certified Home Healthcare Agency. “Since 1966, Oswego County CHHA has provided services to thousands of county residents,” said County Legislator John Proud, District 7, Mexico, chairman of the Legislature’s Health Committee. “However, a number of financial issues, and elimination of state funding over the past several years, have affected the viability of the CHHA program. “
The recent news stories concerning Planned Parenthood are shocking and disconcerting. They draw attention, front and center, to the ugly and damaging reality of abortion. The stories serve to remind us that abortion is a direct attack on vulnerable human life. They also demonstrate the sad reality that fetal organs and tissues are routinely harvested, bought and sold in our country.
In his tenure, he has seen much positive action and collaboration, he said at a recent Common Council meeting. “It has been one of the most positive experiences I’ve had in my life. The job has many challenges. My opportunity to work with the mayor and the council, city chamberlain and DPW, and just about every department has been a great experience of collaboration and partnership,” he said.
Oswego Mayor Tom Gillen has announced that due to construction work on the Riley Booster Station and other associated water distribution system plans, he is repeating his request from earlier this month for residents to continue to conserve water usage for the next few weeks.

Harborfest was relatively quiet and modestly participated this year. There were not as many vendors as previous years. This may have led to this year’s low turnout. And thanks to the many law enforcement agencies, Harborfest this year had a renewed family feeling. Syracuse’s jazz and wine festival and craft fair might have contributed to the reduced crowds, also.
