It contains guidelines for public response to radiological and other types of emergencies for people who live within 10 miles of Nine Mile Point.
At about 9:51 a.m. today (January 2), an eastbound 2001 Ford Taurus wagon operated by Wilner Moleon, 52, of Red Creek, lost control and spun into the path of a westbound 2013 Subaru Outback operated by Jane Holliday, 83, of Oswego. Moleon was transported to University Hospital in Syracuse, where he died of his injuries, deputies said.
Oswego Hospital welcomed its first baby of 2015 at 2:16 a.m. on New Year’s Day. Barry Lee Babcock was the hospital’s first newborn, weighing 8 pounds, 5 ounces. His length was 21 inches. Parents are Kawana Jefferson and Barry Babcock, of Oswego.
The vessel, American Fortitude, is headed to Brownsville, Texas for scrapping. It is being stored in the Port City for the winter months.
