OCO’s Retro Bowl Set April 5
Oswego County Opportunities will hold its annual bowling tournament fund raiser on April 5 at Lakeview Lanes in Fulton. “This year’s theme is the ‘Retro Bowl.’ We’re going to celebrate highlights from OCO’s history during each decade since the agency was established on March 15, 1966,” said Diane Cooper-Currier, OCO’s executive director.
Ritchie Secures Nearly $215,000 For Central, Northern NY Schools
Included in the funding is more than $60,000 for the Oswego City School District to expand its full-day pre-kindergarten program. For use with community learning center programs, the Fulton City School District was awarded nearly $47,000 and the Watertown City School District will receive nearly $108,000.

SUNY Oswego’s online MBA tied for 14th among online graduate business programs — the highest of any institution in the state, according to U.S. News’ 2014 “Best Online Degree Programs: Business (Graduate)” rankings published Jan. 8.

Getting relief from all the unfunded mandates is a priority for local officials. No one wants to raise taxes, city officials said. However, the mandates are making it tough not to, they added. “As long as we have a dialogue going, (the governor) knows where we stand. We need help from Albany,” Oswego’s mayor added.
