Oswego one of six SUNY colleges to debut Open SUNY

Stephen Aschkenes, a senior marketing major at SUNY Oswego, said the three online courses he has taken proved to be rigorous and collaborative. He was chosen to attend a brainstorming session on Open SUNY last fall. Oswego's two online MBA programs are among the first eight Open SUNY+ degree programs that SUNY Chancellor Nancy L. Zimpher introduced during her State of the University address today (Jan. 14).The SUNY system has selected SUNY Oswego’s online master’s in business administration and MBA in health services administration to join only six other degree programs in the soft launch this spring of Open SUNY. SUNY Chancellor Nancy L. Zimpher introduced the new Open SUNY+ degree programs during her annual State of the University address today (Jan. 14) in Albany.

Oswego Resident Reaches Out To Governor For Relief

Oswego resident Dave Berry reads his letter to Gov. Cuomo at Monday's council meeting.In his letter, he informs Gov. Cuomo of the high taxes and the high water and sewer bills in the Port City. “I wanted to show my concern because I lived in the city most of my life. I’m proud to live in the city of Oswego,” he wrote. “I have had my house for so many years and I want to keep it.”

Greater Pulaski Fund Announces Fundraising Results

The Greater Pulaski Community Endowment Fund (Pulaski Fund) raised $13,015 in individual and business contributions during its annual fall fundraising campaign. The John Ben Snow Memorial Trust gave a generous match helping the fund raise a total of $25,780 making the 2013 campaign the fourth most successful fundraiser in thirteen years.
