Of the 31 new priests, eight are American. Father Nicholas said he had the beginnings of a calling as young child living in New York State.

The Oswego County Legislature held its re-organizational meeting recently. Kevin Gardner was reappointed chairman. Linda Lockwood is the new vice chair. The Democratic Caucus re-named itself to reflect that not all of its members hail from the same political affiliation. The next meeting will be February 13.
