Oswego Man Facing Robbery, Assault Charges
At approximately 7:06 p.m. Thursday, the city of Oswego Police Department was dispatched to 50 W. Bridge St., Paura’s Liquors, in regards to a robbery complaint. The suspect reportedly stole multiple bottles of liquor and while attempting to flee, forced a 59-year-old woman to the ground and struck her.
Search And Rescue Under Way Near Oswego Harbor
An “object” in the water sparked a search and rescue event earlier this evening. At about 5:30 p.m., Oswego Coast Guard received a call from someone claiming to have seen something in the water just outside Oswego Harbor. As of 8 p.m., nothing had been found and the operation was still under way.

OHS Tow Away Zone In Effect Soon
Student safety is a major focus in the Oswego City School District and another step to protect Oswego High School students will be implemented on January 22. There will be a new parking pattern along Buccaneer Boulevard in the area adjacent to the main door of Oswego High School.

A 19-year-old from Pulaski reportedly died in the multi-car crash, troopers said. The investigation is continuing.

State Police make an arrest in Granby Hit and Run
The New York State Police have arrested 21-year-old Kurt M. McArdell of 9076 Dinglehole Road, Baldwinsville, in connection with the car vs. bicyclist hit and run that occurred on Jan. 15.
