“Children’s exposure to violence and abuse is a concern not only in Oswego County, but across the country,” said Karrie Damm, executive director of the Child Advocacy Center of Oswego County. The forum stressed taking a collaborative approach to curbing the problem. Keeping the lines of communication open between everyone was also a key goal.
Influenza is impacting all of Central New York, with many counties reporting historic numbers of flu cases already. “Oswego County has received reports of over 700 cases of influenza since October,” reported Jiancheng Huang, Public Health Director for Oswego County.
