With cases of flu increasing, the Oswego County Health Department is urging residents to stay home if they are sick and follow other preventive measures to limit the spread of the flu.

State Police have arrested Shawn Hennessy, 17, of 171 Malverne St., Syracuse. He was charged with Assault 1st Degree, a Class B Felony following a six-week investigation. The arrest stems from an incident occurring outside of a residence October 27 on Voorhees Road in the town of Parish.
On Saturday, at approximately 10:57 a.m., Troopers from the State Police Barracks in Fulton responded to a report of a male who was pinned beneath his truck at 380 Stewarts Corners Road in the Town of Schroeppel.
On Wednesday, 22-year-old Daniel J. Thamarus of 104 E. Schuyler St., Oswego, was arrested and charged with Criminal Possession of a Controlled Substance 3rd degree, intent to sell – Class B Felony and Criminal Possession of a Controlled Substance 4th degree – Class C Felony
Three people were sent to a Syracuse hospital following the crash in Scheoeppel, The investigation is ongoing at this time.
