Medical and legal experts have a host of questions about synthetic drugs like bath salts: How can we make them illegal? How can we deal with people high on the drugs? What’s the best approach to the problem of addiction?

But a public conference call on the subject Monday night shows that average people have far more basic questions. For example: What’s a “bath salt”? Is it really the same thing I’d put in my bath?

Paddlers From Ithaca Make Their Way To Oswego

Five Central New York paddlers traveled water routes from Ithaca to Oswego, arriving on Sunday, to demonstrate the potential for developing a water trail that links the Finger Lakes with Lake Ontario. County Legislature Announces New Public Health Director

The Oswego County Legislature appointed Jiancheng Huang as the new public health director for the Oswego County Health Department during its July meeting. Huang has several years of experience working as the director of the Maine Immunization Program for the Maine Centers for Disease Control. A Harvard graduate with a master’s degree in public health, Huang is a published practitioner.
