In 2008, if you wanted to see a band in Oswego your choices were limited. You could go out to a bar, that is, if you were old enough, and wanted to stay out late. Other than that the choices were few and far between. But Jasmyn Belcher, a news reporter at WRVO radio, was about to change all that.
Oswego City Police Department wishes to announce that it will be focusing increased enforcement efforts to target vehicles illegally passing stopped school buses over the next several weeks. Two Oswego residents and a Hannibal resident were charged earlier this week. They allegedly received benefits due to not reporting incomes received.

Upon arrival crews reported smoke and fire coming from an upstairs window and made an immediate entry to the area and quickly extinguished the fire. It was contained to one room. This was a small fire that could have been much worse. First arriving crews quickly entered the residence, extinguished the fire, the chief said.
