Chamber Singers On Carnegie Hall Stage This Sunday

Oswego High School Chamber Singers will be on stage this weekend at New York City’s Carnegie Hall. In front (left to right) are Emily Hurlbutt, Julie Knight, Kaela Shafer, Madison Neuland, Erin Chetney, Hannah Allen and Tara Stacy. In the middle row are Duane Crapser, Sarah Davis, Monica George, Cassandra Hondro, Lauren Defoe, Katherine Schermerhorn and Justin Abbott while in back are Nicholas Williams, Billy DeLapp, Michael Crisafulli, Colton Dryden, Zemiah Phrance, Cameron Caruso, and Joseph Ruggio. Absent from photo were Jane Coty, Josh Ewig and Tyler Rigby.The Oswego High School Chamber Singers, under the direction of Veronica Shaver,  are on stage at New York City’s Carnegie Hall on Sunday, March 18. During the Heritage Festival last year the group received a “Gold” rating and an invitation to the Big Apple for this year’s spectacular event.

Students, Teacher Ask Board of Ed to Move Fulton High School Graduation to SUNY Oswego

Teacher Rob Lescarbeau talks to the Board of Education about a request from some teachers and students to move the graduation ceremonies to SUNY Oswego.  Standing to support him are students Anna McKay, Carson Metcalf and Amanda Tetro.Some students and teachers at G. Ray Bodley High School want graduation moved out of the ice hockey rink that has been the ceremony’s home since 1988.

Their suggestion for a new home: The new Campus Center arena at SUNY Oswego.
