Recently, the Central New York Chapter was given the opportunity from its donor base to invest in a new disaster response vehicle. The $90,000 vehicle was unveiled Thursday at the Oswego branch office on West First Street. It was purchased exclusively with donations.
The vehicle is used to provide disaster stricken individuals with a safe and comfortable shelter.
Due to natural gas costs being lower than originally forecast and warmer temperatures, heating costs for National Grid customers in upstate New York have been more than 20 percent lower than last winter.

A request by the YMCA to use of Breitbeck Park and the McCrobie Civic Center for a Sept. 8 event – Dragon Boat Community Festival – was also OK’d.
