HSBC didn’t want its branches in Fulton and Oswego.  Neither did First Niagara Bank, which bought HSBC’s upstate branches, but not the ones in Fulton, Oswego and the North Country.

Finally, the branches have a home.

On Jan. 25 at 7 p.m., “Buc Records” will be releasing new CDs at a premiere party at the Oswego Middle School Theatre. Oswego Middle School eighth graders have been spending nearly the entire academic quarter producing their own music using state of the art sound technology.

The Oswego City Police Department has arrested two individuals in connection with the theft of a woman’s purse from inside the Price Chopper grocery store, located at 137 State Route 104 in the city of Oswego. The suspects were identified using video surveillance footage from the store.

Deputies say the charges stem from the investigation into an incident that occurred at a residence in the town of Scriba in October 2011.  The suspect is alleged to have had finger to vagina contact with the victim being less than 17 years of age.
