Looming new ballast water regulations, if implemented by the state, could devastate the port and erase the good economic picture, according to the port’s executive director and the administrator of the US St. Lawrence Seaway Development Corporation.
Today (Nov. 2), the Fulton Police Department arrested Charles D. Fitzgerald, the owner of The 420 Emporium, 105 E. Broadway. He was arrested and charged with 47 counts of Criminal Possession of a Weapon in the Third Degree, which is a Class D Felony.
“Tom Gillen has deep roots in his community and knows what it takes to move Oswego forward,” said Congressman Owens. “Through his business expertise he understands how best to create jobs and further develop the city’s economy. I believe Tom is the right person for the job.”
The three candidates for Mayor of Fulton will meet Thursday evening in their only debate.
The debate will be held at 7:00 p.m. at the Fulton Education Center auditorium, 167 S. Fourth St., Fulton.

On Tuesday investigators from the Oswego County Sheriff’s Office arrested John F. Pendall Jr. of Fulton, for Vehicular Manslaughter, Second Degree, a Class D felony; Manslaughter, Second Degree and other charges in connection with the crash that claimed his father’s life.
