Summer Sizzles In Central New York This Week
Temperatures have been in the upper 80s to lower 90s all across CNY. Forecasters say it will be worse Thursday with the possibility of the mercury hitting 100 degrees in the Syracuse area. People are doing whatever they can to find relief from the heat and humidity.

Oswego School Board Asks SED To Dismiss Proceedings Against Goewey
The Oswego school board has interceded on behalf of a building principal and his battle with the State Education Department and a former Oswego school superintendent. David Fischer (superintendent from January 2005 to June 2008), is asking the state to revoke Dean Goewey’s teaching and administrator licenses. Tuesday night, the Oswego school board passed a resolution asking the state to dismiss the proceedings.

Things should be cooler today – lower 80s instead of upper 80s But, will there be any more showers?
Broadway Bridge Project on Fulton Council Agenda
The main item for tonight’s Fulton Common Council meeting is next year’s project to fix the deteriorating Broadway bridge over the Oswego River.
The bridge will be shut down while the state rebuilds the bridge, in the same way that the Route 104 bridge was shut down through downtown Oswego during its repair.
The Council will take up three items related to the project. See the full agenda inside.
Council Looks To Form Oswego’s First Dog Park
The Crisafulli baseball diamond area of Breitbeck Park is going to the dogs. At its meeting Monday night, the Physical Services Committee gave a favorable recommendation to transforming the currently idle baseball field into a park for canines. The full council will consider the plan next week.
