Oswego Sub Shop Wins SBA Small Business Excellence Award
Local business Oswego Sub Shop was honored last Monday with an SBA Small Business Excellence Award at the DoubleTree Hotel in East Syracuse. The U.S. Small Business Administration and the New York Business Development Corporation hosted the 13th annual luncheon to recognize the achievements of local small businesses.

Ex-Hannibal Board President Claims Board Hid Money for Raises in Proposed Budget; Official: ‘Absolutely Not!’
The former President of Hannibal’s Board of Education claims that board members deliberately deceived taxpayers by claiming that no salary increases had been built into the proposed 2011-12 budget when money for raises had been hidden in other accounts.
District officials flatly denied the claim.

Budget, Transportation Propositions Featured On WBUC TV Program
Two brief programs providing an overview of the Oswego City School District proposed budget and the bus proposition have been produced by Oswego High School television station WBUC. Fulton Settles Land Dispute With Bankrupt Hospital, Will Receive More Than $300,000
The city will be paid to give up its claim to the land beneath the closed hospital and the medical office building next door. It will also get the back taxes on the medical building, once Oswego Health buys it.
