March is still coming in rather tame, even if it’s a bit cold. There has been no snow in Fulton all month and just 0.01-inch of rain.

William Levea will likely spend the rest of his life behind bars. The 80-year-old Fulton man was sentenced today in Cayuga County Court to 6 to 18 years in prison. He was initially charged with second-degree murder in connection with the Nov. 20, 2009, drunk driving accident that claimed the life of Christopher Spack, 41.

Calling all artists. Dozens of people got a peek at the Lakeside Artisans’ Co-Op at 193 W. First St., in Canal Commons, Tuesday evening during a genial pre-opening event. The co-op is looking for a few more artisans who would like to be member/owners of the business.

March is coming in like a lamb, so far. According to Fulton’s weather observer, no snow or rain was recorded on March 1.

Except for some snow, and maybe a little wind once in a while, February was a rather average month, according to Bill Gregway, local observer for the National Weather Service. “It was a pretty normal February,” Gregway said.
